Dear Friends, I am looking for a scale modelof a 1947 Ford Truck, also known as The Maple Leaf Truck. My father bought such a truck in 1947 and it was dark green. Do you know if this truck exists as scale model and where I can buy it. I am very interested in your answer for which I thank you very much. With kind regards, Ton Nass, Elburg, The Netherlands

Spaarne, I haven't heard of any scale models, but you may find some information by posting your question on the "Maple Leaf Up" forum: http://www.mapleleafup.org/forums/index.php

I'm not familiar with the "Maple Leaf" designation, but Danbury Mint issued a green mid 40's scale model Ford pickup. I believe it is 1/32 scale, and may still be available. See the attached photo.

In Canada, in the forties at least, The GMC truck was called a Maple Leaf.
