Get a hold of Dave Collette in Penn. He has a 41 that is correct and would help you . He is in the club directory,or in the regional one.

Definitely a different harness on car vs pickup. Do you have the '40-41 pickup book that's available from the V-8 Club? If not you can order it on the front page of this site. A great little book that will help you a great deal.

thanks for responding to my post. i am putting together a 41 for showing and driving. the cab and one door is painted and up on the chassis. My carefully purchased wiring harness doesn't seem to fit. is the cars and pickup completely different. it looks like the cars had the voltage regulator in the center of the firewall, and the pickup was high on the drivers side. this will not be a points show vehicle, but i want to make it look as clean as possible. i recently purchased a cd of the green bible, so maybe some of these questions will be answered. I would really like some pics of a correct 41 pickup

underhood wiring-you should purchase a reproduction harness, it will come with instructions, if you are not going with original, diagrams are available from vanpelts website. what are you looking for in hardware? nuts/bolts are available from Roy Naciewitz--Fordbolts.com I think
