I see that this site is for fords up to 1953, but Can someone refer me to a site where I can get information on a truck I just acquired. It is a 1958 Ford Series 600 Truck. It has a V8 and I am trying to locate the size of motor so I can get some parts. Tanks, Tow Joe

JJoe, try the Fordbarn as they have a section for the later Fords. www.fordbarn.com. You might also try Googling "Ford truck forums"

It is likely that your F-600 has either a 279 or 317 engine. They look the same, except the 279 has a 3 9/16 bore, while the 317 bore is 3.8 inches. The 3.5 inch stroke is the same in both. Your truck could have either engine, probably the larger if it is a "heavy duty" model.
