I had a similar problem with an electronic Stewart Warner speedometer. I purchased a "Sky Drive" off the internet(e-Bay) and hooked it up. It was easy to set up and calibrate and the speedo worked perfectly. Double check your wiring diagram and make sure all connections are correct. Make very sure you have a good ground which is essential.

Did it work before and then quit? Does the odometer work? Since your drivetrain is not original you might get a better response on HAMB, https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/ Charlie Stephens

Ken, What kind of speedometer do you have, mechanical or electric? For the mechanical type you should be able to find a cable to connect to your C4 transmission. For an electric speedometer you will need a signal generator at your transmission's output shaft.
