Any one have an idea what rear end ratio might be on a stick shift without overdrive

If it is an early Ford (32-48), look on the lower rib of the banjo fior a set of numbers. If you find 379, it is a 4-11. If you find 349, it is 3-78. The numbers 3911 show a 3-54. If it was in a truck, you may find 419, which is 4-55. You didn't specify the year and model of your car. If it is '49 or later, you will have to count the turns of the drive shaft and the rear axle. Some later axles have a stamped tag with a number that a dealer may decode. Several different makers were used by Ford, as well as 8" and 9" types.
