I have some info I can post. The 97 was state of the art in its day. but was far from trouble free, and the 94 was a considerable inprovement. It is interesting to note that the 97 is now being reproduced as an "improved" carb, albeit somewhat pricey, at about $500. We used 97's in my stockcar racing days, as we could swap jets with less trouble than the later types.

Hello Boys, I'm trying to do a proper rebuild on my Stromberg 97 but am having a hard time finding a hardcopy of reliable instructions. Anyone out there that has done it and knows what to read and where to get it ? Regards, spike31
