Hi all! Sadly I must part with my beloved car, and in conjunction with the sale, I was advised to check the engine number. !?! Besides the 59AB designation, do the flatheads have such a number? The interesting thing is that the chassis no. and gear box have the same number...! Appreciate some feedback here... Thanks, Peder

Peder, Ford USA did not stamp or cast a engine number on the engine block, during the years 1932-1948. The serial number was stamped on the chassis and on the transmission bell housing.
