ragtop how bad is the tank ? can you post any photo's IF it has small holes, it can be repaired, I did this on a CJ5 JEEP. last summer using EASTWOODS SEALER, and also my 37CABRIOLET in 1976 , still good, for sure, make sure it it dry inside, I used a soldering gun to solder the holes up, then used 5/16 steel nuts , about 50 you can get these out with a magnet later on and used the [ metal etch ] or a cleaner with water and rotated the tank and sloshed it back and forth to remove any rust, dirt etc then let dry for a few days in the sun or warm place, do this outside, if possible, then I USED the EASTWOOD sealer to seal the inside surfaces, rotating the tanks over end over end, then drain the remaining sealer out, back into the can it came out of, for later use, maybe on a smaller tank then let dry for a few days, so the sealer is cured. this sealer is the ticket and saved lot of hard to find. gas tanks this sealer is what AIRCRAFT uses in thier tanks, hope this helps 37 Ragtopman , MAINE JUST REMEMBER if it came out it will go back in, not liKe some of the REPO'S, then make today
