Any ideas on removing a head from a 36 coupe. Tried the 2 special pullers that screw into the spark plug holes. It has pulled up along the top edge all the way from front to rear about 1/8" but the bottom edge will not come up. As you know the plug holes are not on the centerline of the head so it pulls coc* eyed any ideas , bee Still no luck any suggestions.n soaking with PB blaster and a mix of MMO & turpentine through the opening at top and around the studs. Any ideas heat around the studs ?? all I have is a propane torch for heat ?? ken ct.

Ken, if the engine is currently a runner, you might want to try the following: turn the engine over first without the spark plus to clear the cylinders of any liquids, install loosely a few of the cylinder head nuts on each head, install the spark plugs and attempt to start the engine. The compression of the exploding mixture in the cylinders should pop the heads off.
