If the transmission is making noise, have it gone thru while you have it out. We just finished a nice '39 tudor for a customer, and he failed to tell us about it after we reinstalled the engine. He would have saved lots of labor cost if he had told us about the problem earlier.

Fort Wayne Clutch has good quality clutches at fair prices. Not certain what bearing they sell. BCA used to be good quality. I have heard from friends with hands on experience that once they went to Mexico, their quality went South as well.

Ken, Yes, the oil pan must be removed (dropped) to remove the flywheel. Be cautious of non USA throw out bearings. Mike

Do you half to remove the oil pan to remove the flywheel? I have clutch chatter in low and reverse pretty bad. I am going to check the motor mounts, resurface the fly wheel, new clutch and pressure plate, throw out bearing. Plus the tranny makes a clicking noise in second gear with the clutch in.Maybe a broken tooth but not sure. Any way lots of work I guess. Did replace the tie rods that were wore out.
