Bill, The definitive answer is: The spring and nut are on top. That is, you can see them looking down - in to the engine compartment. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

I have a 40 coupe and would like a definitive answer on the correct orientation of the spring and nut that holds the radiator to the frame. Mine has the spring and nut on the bottom of the frame rail, but I've read posts that say the spring Shipley be on top of the rails. Which is it?
