convertable tacking strip

I am replacing the tacking strip on the rear of the conv. top. Cleaning the the three strips is a chore. My quesion is // the new rubber material i got from nDrake does not look to thick nd effective. Has any one used this or is there a better product??

I am not familiar with what Drake sells. However, Lebaron - Bonnney sells good stuff. It is a plastic, perhaps Teflon that works very well. It comes in different widths and thicknesses. It will not absorb water as the original stuff did and once a staple is driven in, it GRABS.

I agree with Mike. L-B sells two types: 1/2" wide by 1/4" thick (TP338) and 5/8" wide by 1/8" thick (TP339). Their order phone is 1-800-221-5408.
