To add to Kubes advice, the arms are riveted to the tower and they come out with the tower once released from the motor.

The spring needs to be removed and then simply pull the arm(s) off. They may be stuck slightly. If the wiper transmissions have been in place for decades, the rubber between them and the body may be stuck as well.

Greetings V8’rs. Can someone please step me through, preferably with photos, how to remove the wiper tower? I have removed the nut and clamp which secures the wiper tower to the cowl but can’t figure how to disengage the tower where it connects to the arm which pivots from the wiper motor?
