Gary, Roy has posted his phone number and will supply you with the formula if you call him. The web site for his business is: http://www.fordscript.com/ He specializes in supplying the correct bolts and correct "bugs" for the glass.

I'm keen to get this information also. I must say I'm surprised it's not documented/easily accesible already?

Thanks Mike and Roy for your responses. We'd like to take a look at the formula you have for the Rose Sand Metallic. Here in Hawaii, we don't know of any correct '40 Fords as far as colors go. So we've been at a disadvantage at matching colors, but we've been getting much help from the mainland. We think we have the correct maroon, but if you have the formula for the maroon, could we get that also, to check against what we have done already. On a side note, Roy, we’ll be installing the transmission to engine bolts and front shock bolts that you sent us not to long ago, today. Thanks from Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Allen S.

Unfortunately I do not have a great supplier for the dash colors. The fellow that mixed mine passed away and took the formulas with him. He guarded those formulas so now I am left at the same point many '40 restorer's are. That is, finding another place to custom mix the colors to my satisfaction. Sorry i can not be more help with this dilemma.

Hi Mike, We were wondering if you or anyone else knew of a place that has the original rose sand metallic paint color for the interior? We weren’t able to match our examples as they are all scratched and faded. Would you happen to know of a contact? Thanks, Allen S.
