Greetings .. I know this has been discussed a bit before, however I seem to have an unusual(?) condition. This is for a very early 46 tudor ( within the 1st 10 % built, probably built in late 45). Both the lower door seal retainer and the associated carpet retainer seemed to be galvanized and not stainless as one would expect. Has anyone seen this before? I think DC is reproducing the seal retainer in Stainless, but what about the carpet retainer? This retainer mounts on the lower door sill along with the seal retainer and holds the carpet in place. So the question at hand is - What should the finish be for these parts? Thanks All!!

You have it correct. Those seals were available at one time but I am not certain if they still are.

Mike, Just to confirm, both the seal retainer and the carpet retainer should be stainless and not painted?
