C&G (800.266.0470)sells cloth covered (wire) heater hose. This will function very well in this application. They offer it in many diameters. I no longer recall the correct diameter. FAA-18584-2 1/4, FAA-18584-2 1/2, FAA-18584-2 3/4, FAA-28584-3

Search the web for the hot air heater site. They have the replacement hose and many of the steel tubes.

There are sources for tubing that would work great for this application. If you'd like, I'll see if I can find one for you. The authentic hose was in fact asbestos.

I'm looking for original replacement tube that connects to hot air exchanger in the center of firewall. The old one is all crushed and full of holes. Also covering that tube is a cloth like material. "Asbestos?" Of course I will need to replace if thats the case. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
