I need to know what the tube comming from the firewall is caklled. I need to order a new one. I am putting the car back together after many years of sitting. Just completed an engine rebuild.

looks like the vacuum line to the wiper motor.

Their not usually that big a diameter but that's most likely what it is. Can you trace it under the dash board in side car ?? ken ct

I am a '32 guy so don't trust what I say. Any chance it is a drain line for the cowl vent? Charlie Stephens

That's the vacuum supply tube for the wipers. The authentic tube (hose) had a larger outer diameter than the modern replacement tube commonly available. In the photograph you'd attached to your original post, the port in the valve chamber cover can be seen. That's where the fitting / tube at the end of the hose should be installed.
