We're in the process of painting our Deuce Tudor Sedan and would like to get the color of the grill, dash and window frames correct. Does anyone have the color name or color codes. Thanks for any advise you can give.

The sales literature of the day uses the name of the grill color as French gray, but the engineering specifications are for a color named Gull gray. The PPG single stage urethane color DCC 586 is a good match for the original color although a flattening agent should be added to reduce the gloss level.

Assuming that your sedan is a standard model, the name of the original color was "interior gray", although it was more brown than gray. I don't have a modern substitute paint color code for it, but Roy Nacewicz at fordbolts.com has a PPG formula for it in lacquer that is accurate (if you have access to a PPG paint supplier who still mixes lacquer).

Thank you 3w2. That's a lot more info than I've been able to get elsewhere. Thanks again.
