How can you tell what year certain hubcabs go with? I believe we have 1937 or 1938 hubcaps. They are dog dish type, chrome with a V8 in the center and black outer ring. I know they are from the thirties, but which year?

36 caps have the "V8" indented 37 has the "V8" embossed (raised) not sure on the 38. ken ct.

1938 caps has larger stainless with v8 indented and only about two and one half inches of metal around the edge this is the deluxe the standard stainless is about the same size as the 1936 but the v8 is indented

The firewall was bolted to the chassis as it went down the assembly line. It was painted black. There was no way to know what color body would end up on the chassis. _______________________________ imran
