I HAVE A 32 5 WINDOW SOMETIME SINCE ITS BIRTH THE TURTLE TOP WAS TURNED AND A RUMBLE SEAT WAS INSTALLED WHEN THIS WAS DONE A KIT WAS INSTALLED TO PROVIDE A TOP IT HAS BRACKETS/HANDLES MOUNTED TO LID THAT WOULD PROVIDE A POST OR TOP FRAME. SNAPS ARE MOUNTED ALONG THE PERIMITER FOR FASTENING THE TOP OR SIDE CURTAINS. WONDER IF ANY OF YOU HAVE A TOP FOR RUMBLE SEAT OR HAVE HEARD OF ONE. THANKS 8CYLFLATHEAD

8cylflathead: I can't help you, but a photo might jog someone's memory. I've never heard of a "top" for a rumble seat, but while I thought I knew everything, someone proves me wrong daily.

Years ago I saw a top setup for a rumbles seat car. I don't know if was from leBaron-Bonney or some other aftermarket company. As I recall it was for Model A roadsters

I had a rumble seat in my Model A coupe. It used the trunk lid by turning it end for end and hinged it with a cast iron piece on each of the the lower side. The seat back had flat hooks that fit holes on the inside of the lid, and the seat bottom was fastened to the floor. We seldom used it, and I wouldn't install another, as it wasn't popular except for parades. Some cars had rolldown rear windows which may have made them more inviting.
