Hello all, I am changing both head gaskets on my 32, Wondering what material that people have had the most success with. I know there are prob at least 3 different designs out there and wondered which work the best. BRL

The usual choice is copper or steel. In general, copper gaskets shouldn't be used with aluminum heads, as electrolysis can be a problem. Steel gaskets can be used with either aluminum or iron. Good quality head gasket are not cheap. Always be sure the gaskets actually match the heads and block, particularly the water holes. We also recommend that the head surfaces be checked and resurfaced at a good machine shop to ensure proper sealing.
