Does the early dist. have a vent hole in the aluminum housing. I,m converting a late to a early dist. until I can find one at a reasonable price.. If there is interest I can submit a pic.

Rockla, thanks for the pics. I wish I could have seen these prior to modifying my late dist. I see no vent hole. Mine will be covered. At Hershey this yr I saw one inside a display cabinet. I regret not taking a pic of it now. All I had was David,s vol 1 , p 6-17 to work with. I,ve added 2 pics of its current modifications . nwjm

I'm not where I can access one, but I'm fairly sure there's a small hole in the bottom of the casting. It's not really big enough to function as much of a vent, however. David

David, thanks. My late casting has a 1/8" hole on the bottom which will remain. After all , this conversion is just temporary till I find an early casting. I,ve learnt that when you go to a flea market looking for something special you won,t usually find it. Or when you find it then others show up. Norm

Norm Let me look at my stash....I have two spare 32 engines and I know I need the two I have for those BUT I "might" have a spare 32 original housing. I also have the "repro" post on here as well. You might email me at salesjbnase@comcast.net and I will email you back and let you know for sure IF I have an extra and or send pictures IF I do.
