Does the brass cap thread onto the threaded electrode or does it slide over the thrreads? Is this cap available as a replacement part?

They thread onto the stud of the spark plug. Yes you can buy them separately.

Thanks, I must have missed them in their catalogue. I just got a large engine fastener order from them.

Rockfla, I just followed your link to 3rd. Gen. What I am looking for is the larger round brass . cap that goes on the top of the porcelain insulator below the round knurled nut . The spark plug terminal is sandwiched between the nut & the cap. NWJM

Consider posing your question on the Model A forum on fordbarn.com.

Thanks, with some measurements I would make them myself. I have spoken with a fellow member of our local model A club about them. He said that he would bring one to the next meeting - in September. If there is an interest I,ll post measurements & pics.

Plug is manufactured with the brass cap below the threads, the threaded stud on the top is part of the cap and the cap is crimped around the porcelain and is not removable or replaceable. I am not aware of any replacements for the cap.
