materguru    -- 07-15-2017 @ 5:02 PM
i have just acquired a 1932 Ford Cabriolet. I want to put it back together correctly and there doesnt seem much in the way of correct restoration info. I restored a Mopar and there is too much information on that subject. Any information on the subject would be greatly appreciated. btw, i have the 1/2 volumes on the 32' and the various other books. I need pics, bolt types and the little detail things.
Thanks yall
Don

Is this what you are talking about when you say "1/2 volumes on the 32'"? https://www.earlyfordv8.org/Shop.cfm?id=15&pid=2

Add your general location to your profile, maybe someone can point you to a restored car in your neighborhood.

  Charlie,

Perhaps not or he hadn't reached Appendices A-11 and A-12 given his question about fasteners.

yes i bought the book from this site. i see you post a lot of useful and apparently learned information so any help would be useful. ie. where to send my top riggings to get re-chromed or to have a top put on it. any useful thing like that

as far as fasteners..no i haven't read the volumes thoroughly. the fasterers sections that i have read doesn't exactly say" put this size and color here" or "use this thread pattern with this finish there"...that kind of stuff. it may not be out there as I have found that Ford didn't exactly draw a "dot to dot" for these cars. I am however on a huge learning curve. thanks for all your help!

Jump ahead to Appendices A-11 and A-12 in volume II. It could not be more specific. They exactly state "put this size and color here" and "use this thread pattern with this finish there" part by part by part.
