Topic: '46-'48 Condenser

Searching our Forum there appears to be some inconsistency on what is the correct distributor condenser for '46-'48s. Is the NAPA Echlin IH200 correct or FA54? And if either one, these appear to have wires versus the original 1GA-12300 (what am I missing here?). Are the original style no longer available (most of our suppliers reference it as discontinued)? Putting together a trip supply inventory for the trunk and want to purchase the correct condenser for back-up. The one currently on the '47s distributor is the original style. Thanks in advance -

Steve

Steve ,new old style cond. that are being sold are very Unreliable ,buy a NAPA IH-200 and you wont go wrong (has wire but will work) . Ive been using these for the last 10 yrs on all rebuilds I do even can be used on Helmet dist with a little enginuaty (sorry no spell check). They are very reliable. ken ct.

Steve either NAPA condenser will work. They both have the same capacitance, the difference is in the wire connection.
