Page 110 of the club's 1935-36 Ford book states that three-piece Champion No. 7 spark plugs were used in V8 engines for those two years. What about 1932, 1933 and 1934? Which spark plugs were used in Ford V8 vehicles then? Would those plugs have had threaded brass tops and knurled nuts like the 1935 and 1936 Champion No. 7s?

'32 V-8 early and mid year V-8 was C-4-X, late was C-4. '33 V-8 was C-7 all model year long. Early '34 V-8 was also C-7 and 7 for the rest of the model year. All were three-piece plugs with brass-capped threaded tops. The brass knurled nuts used until October, 1932 were carried over from Model A production. The height of the nuts was reduced in October, 1932 and that type was used until the 1937 model year.

Grant , your getting too picky,use a set of Champion "D-21 " approx. $2.50 each at most auto parts store. How much are the "C7's or what ever they are. You can put the knerlled brass tops I have on these and will look pretty correct with the hooked ends of the plug wires. OMO ken ct. usa.Ive been using them in my 36 for over 20 yrs. Nice hot plug.
