I am trying to put a 1940 front axle under a 1926 Chrysler. I need to move the steering arm to the driver side. can this be done and not have bump steer? How much rake should the sale have? Thank you

Putting a steering arm on the left spindle has been done for years when the early Fords were converted to hydraulic brakes. You can find the arm at most rod shops or on e-Bay. Your axle should have about 4-6 degrees of caster.

Thank you . I found some arms on speedways web site. I will see if I can find a picture of a wheel and the arm.

I wonder, what would be the point to put a '40 Ford front axle under a '26 Dodge? The Dodge suspension would be far more reliable than the Ford..
