When turning into a street sometimes if there's a bump in road or road unevenness I hear a clunk in the rear. Is that something in the differential or shocks? Any feedback appreciated as to what to look for. John

I would check the shock mounts first, and the spring shackles . If that doesn't work put the wife in the trunk and remember to let her out.

Make sure the rear hubs are properly tightened to the axles!!!

What are the tightening specs or is it hard as you can then back off as necessary to put cotter in? Thanks john

I jacked up rear and pulled on each wheel. The right had enough play that I could feel it but the left had no play?

Be sure the rear spring clips holding it to the crossmember are tight, and the head of the tie bolt in the center of the spring is firmly seated in the hole of the crossmember. If this doesn't fix the noise, you may have either a broken tie bolt or one or more broken spring leaves. It is almost impossible to find the breaks without removing and disassembling the spring
