Are the lines for the oil filter 1/4 pipe thread? I'm thinking of removing the can filter as I never thought they worked!

The block plug is a 1/4-18 pipe thread and the boss on the oil level indicator is 1/8" pipe thread. The oil filters do work. A good element will keep your oil clean longer. Tom
