Topic: Trans and emergency brake rubber boot

Finally getting around to installing the front rubber mat on my '36 coupe. However, not sure if the rubber boots for the trans lever and emergency brake lever go under the mat or above it? Have seen pictures that show the trans boot under and brake boot on top, very confusing. What is correct for stock factory installation?

If you want stock factory installation then you need not worry about the boots being above or below the mat as no boots were originally used during the '36 model year. Hopefully you can return them for a refund.

Thanks guys! I didn't buy the boots, they came with the car even though it didn't have a rubber mat at the time.
