Can't seem to remove pins to take inside door handles off. My handles appear to have two pin holes at 90 degrees to each other. Have tried the pin removal tool sold my Mac's but can't budge them. Must e doing something wrong. Cananyone offer any advice?

Somebody could have incorrectly installed taperd pins and will only come out from 1 side, worth a try. Should be straight pins. They usually come right out. OMO. ken ct.

Bill, sometimes the escutcheons don't go far back enough to allow the pin to clear. Because of the spring tension, you may find that by using the tool the bottom of the escutcheon hits the pin. Sometimes you need someone to hold the bottom in with a screwdriver wrapped in tape to protect the finish. They should just tap out with a drift pin and small hammer. I have found that reproduction escutcheons are really hard to compress to allow removal of the pin.
