Does the '41 utilize the stainless steel ring part # 6a-3628? Mine didn't/doesn't have one but I see it listed at Mac's, Dennis Carpenter and others. If so does it go tight against the horn ring? Thanks Bob.

You have me a little confused. I assume you have a chrome plated diecast horn ring and I assume you have the plastic center horn button (for lack of a better name). For the horn button to attach to the horn ring you need the retainer part number 6a-3628. The button is held in the retainer and the "ears" on the underside bend into slots in the ring. I don't know how you managed to hold the pieces together without it.

Yes I have the chrome plated cast horn ring. I also have the 3 tab ring attached to it via 3 insulated screws and a spring. I have no plastic part. I'm trying to find out what I'm missing and may still need. Thanks Bob A.

Well without a picture I'm still in the dark as to what you have but in the center where you would expect to find a horn button there should be a large round piece called a horn button in Mac's catalog and having a part number like 6a-3627-B. If you have that, you probably have everything. If not I don't know where to find one for a 41.

The ring part number 6A-3628 is only used on 1942-1948 Ford Super Deluxe horn rings. The 1941 Ford Super Deluxe horn ring does not have a plastic center. Fred Killian

The easiest way to find out what you are missing is to post photos.

Thanks everyone for your assistance. C & G listed that part as a 42-48 application. The other vendors had it for 41-48. Fred thanks for clearing that up. Bob A
