Can anyone help me confirm the correct wheel size for a '53 Crestline Victoria? Are these the same size as '47 - 48? Is there a good source for hub caps or wheel covers for this car? Is anyone making them?

Sam, the stock wheels are 15X5 1/2. No one repos the full size stainless cap. I do see them on e-Bay every so often and I also see the small caps there. The 52 caps were stainless and the 53's were chrome steel. I have a neighbor who has a complete set of stock 53 wheels that he is wanting to sell.They even have the original Flamingo paint on them.

hi SAMVB they are 15 inchs, and take a 670x15 tire,as original equipment,atleast that what was on my 51 and 53 back in the 1960's I am assuming this for a pass car, this wheel should be the same from 1949 to 1956, in 1957 they went to 14 inch wheels, hope this helps 37RAGTOPMAN any body else with more info please weigh in,

Thanks for the info 37ragtopman. That helps. Don't know much about '53 but have feeling I'll be learning more soon. Have a nice set of 16" '46-47 that I was hoping would work.

Sam, you did buy a muffler from me. The other day my neighbor said he was going to take them to a swap meet and sell them for $100. If you want to call him his name is Dave and his # is 707-224-1030. It's in California. The wheels still have the old wide whites on them, so it might be a little more if he has to take them off and get rid of the tires.Shipping them with the tires would be way to expensive.

I believe that the wheels for '49 and later Ford cars differ from the '40-48. The '40-48 wheels are as a rule 15x5, 5 bolt on 5'5". The '49 and later are 5 on 5". The pickup trucks are all the same bolt pattern '40 to about '85, 5 on 5.5". The style and size of the rim and hub cap attachment changes a few times during these years, however, the wheel it's self is interchangeable. Bill 36 5 win delx cpe
