Topic: '36 Throttle return spring

The throttle return spring on my '36 is broken. Doesn't look like an easy fix as it appears the spring needs to make a 90ยบ turn in order to be installed. Does the linkage need to be removed and how do you install the spring? Thanks.

I have done this several times on my 34. Assuming it is the same as your 36, the spring should slip right around the bend no problem. It is a 5 minute job max. Of course you have to detach the rod to the carburetor from the ball on the end of the arm first. The long end of the spring is out towards the carburetor.

Will give it a shot later today. Thanks.
