Dear Early V-8'rs Here is the situation. I have a 1940 Type 77B seat for sale. (Just posted in classifieds) A fellow with a 36 5 window contacted me. He needs a seat. Will the 40 seat work in a 36 5 window? Please let me know your thoughts, as it would help us both out. MrPhat40

The 40 seat may be a little too wide. You need to compare the widths of each seat. The 40 seat will also be too high as the seat tracks are higher on a 40 than the 35.It may be possible to change the tracks. It's probably doable, but it is not a simple drop in.

Dear Triford8, Thank you for your knowledge and incite. The buyer has decided to look else where as he was thinking it would be too much work. That said anyone have a 35-36 coupe set for sale. I know of a person looking. MrPhat40
