You guys have been very helpful to a non-computer literate friend. Perhaps somebody can help again. Here's the question: My 46 Ford V-8 coil, is mounted in its original location. The posts are marked "distributor" and "battery". Is it correct to say that the distributor post is positive and the battery post is negative? Thanks for any help. Best, Joan

yes, assuming this is an orginal 6v positive ground ignitio system.
