Anyone had any experience with Sacramento Vintage Parts?
Wondering about the quality of their parts and service.

Thanks!

Not the business they used to be. I think they lean more to hot rods.
Had a bad experience walking into the store. Pretty sure it was the owners son. Wasn't real interested in selling parts for my A.
C&G in Southern California is a great .

  Bob,

You should update your profile to include your general location and email. Your location is important because being able to see the parts you are getting over the counter is worth a great deal. Your email in case someone has comments they don't want to post around the web. I have heard that their wiring harnesses are very good. Overall I don't remember seeing anything particularly good or bad about them. You might search the forums at fordbarn.com and HAMB (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/) to see if anything shows up. Are you looking for anything in particular? I have bought a couple of things from them both over the counter and by mail over the years and nothing stood out about the quality or service.

I have bought a lot of parts from them and have had both good and bad experiences, but mostly good. When they made a mistake, unlike some notable suppliers, they were quick to admit it and rectify the situation. I bought all of the wiring for my restoration and it was generally good but the connections are only crimped and not soldered. They were very helpful with electrical questions/problems. As far as customer service, it was good, but I think it depends on who you get when you call in as it does with most of the suppliers.

Sacramento Vintage pretty much uses the standard suppliers(Drake, Carpenter, Vintique,etc.). What I don't like is they repackage everything so you don't know the manufacturer. I have preferences on some parts, especially rubber items and I don't want to guess who manufactured a certain item. I have bought parts from them and not had any problems. I prefer C and G Parts because their counter people are more knowledgeable and they will tell you the manufacturer of the part. I also feel their shipping is more reasonable even though I live closer to Sacramento Vintage. If you drive to Sacramento with a list of parts make sure you call before you go to check stock. I've gone there more than once and got two items out of ten because they were out of stock. I still buy from them on occasion and they are a decent company, just not my favorite.

I got some non vented fuel caps from them the other month.they were the only supplier who had them
They shipped them to a hotel adress in LA where my son was staying .no drama, and also they were good fuel caps.

A little on the expensive side but they were always very courteous and helped me with my Model A parts that were needed.
