does any one know of a book that tells how to pull the motor on a 36 I have the repair manual and shop manual.

I don't know which books you have, but the Motors Manual for this era gives the basics. In addition to the instructions it gives, put a piece of wood under the oil pan. raise it up slightly, support the transmission, attach a chain sling to the engine so that it hang level, remove starter, remove trans. bolts, and pull it straight out.
