Topic: 1934 Tudor Front Seat Tilt Assembly

I sent my seats and springs to LeBaron Bonney for original upholstery. Low and behold, the front seats in my all steel 34 are not Ford seats. I have looked everywhere and cannot find any for sale. I am now hoping I can find one un-upholstered to take measurements and to custom build two. By any chance, do any of you have an original 34 tudor front seat that I can gather pictures and measurements on in order to finish the interior of my car?

Blessings to all!

Here is a picture of the seat I need measurements for. The picture was sent to me by Lebarron Bonney.

The picture of the seat base that LB sent you is correct, but the mounting brackets are missing. They had brackets that came down from the front corners if the seat to mount on a I-bolt arrangement that stuck up from the floor. From the look of your car, I bet they've been cut off the floor too.
Best bet is to find another street rodder who is just starting to do a 34 Tudor and get their old seats and brackets.
P.S. The metal part of the seat looks a lot like the aluminum race car seats sold by Summit Racing. I've seen these in aluminum that were pretty close. Since your is a street rod, this might be a better choice.

1934 Ford's since 1972

Thank you so much for the reply. The I-bolts are still in my car and the part that attached to the wood bottom had been reused on the seats I have. Attached is a picture of the seats I sent to LB. The rep said I might be able to add to them and make them work. Oh how some original measurements would help right now! Thanks again!

Blessings to all!
