What is the max inside diameter that a 42-48 drum can be cut to (front and rear)

Stock diameter is 12". Good practice says that a maximum of .060 should be observed, but since drums are hard to find, and expensive, I've seen many that were cut more than that. If so, the linings must be "arced", or fitted to the diameter of the drum for full contact.
