Topic: 1935 Ford Colors

	I am looking for a paint formula for the 1935 Color called "Light Gun Metal". I have some old PPG Ditzler codes, but the PPG systems cannot cross reference those codes to any grey color. If someone has a formula for this color, can you please post or share where I can find. Thank You. Justin

	Go to http://www.autocolorlibrary.com/ TCP Global can mix your color from the code. Tom

	Guys, thanks for the help. I found the codes previously on that paint reference website...but in working through 3 very reputable paint supply shops now none of those codes show up anywhere in the PPG or Dupont systems. One of them only shows up in PPG as a diamond metallic white. So I am not sure where those codes came from....or have since been superseded, etc. I really hate to spend $80 on a quart of paint from TPC as a spray out test....but maybe I will have to. I was hoping someone might have a car that is that color...and have an actual formula they would share.

	You can go to one of the paint shops and look through their color books to find a color close to the color that you want. Then have them modify the formula to give you the exact shade. There have been a large number of changes in the automotive paint supply industry in the past few years and many paint formulas cannot be made any more. I ran into that with my 53 Lincoln when I tried to buy some touch up paint. Tom

	I recently had the same problem. The paint store couldn't find the formula so my painter called PPG and they cross referenced it to the new formula. Perfect match. (800) 647-6050
