Thanks for the reply. It is model number H-2, serial 6260. I am told that there are instructions somewhere on calibration of this set, apparently they are not in Ford service bulletins.

The 37-41 Service Bulletins book has an extensive compilation on the Heyer Test Set instructions starting with a reprint of the 34 Bulletin on this subject and also covering the later stroboscope option. As I remember correctly, they covered all the material found in the instruction booklet given to Ford mechanics which came with the set I used to have.

Ford started with the Heyer test about 34-5 and used the model H-1. Some have a distributor stroboscope some do not as it was an option. Heyer came out with several other test sets prior to the war. None of these are the model H-2,I find no information regarding the H-2 pre war. Post war Heyer made the test set larger and divided test between two sets The "Diagnosis Test Set" the other "Distributor Stroboscope" I do not have model numbers for these two test sets. You may want to look at Ford Service Bulletins under "Equipment" E-100TAC or E-100TS for information prior to the war. Lots of technical information. There is some Heyer technical information for the post war units.
