Topic: Correct 1936 valve spring?

What would the correct valve spring be for a 1936 LB engine?

Is there a difference between a '36 LB valve spring and the earlier '36 version?

What about 1937? Would a '37 valve spring be the same diameter and length and tensile strength?

The correct spring is P/N 40-6513-B. The replacement is P/N 78-6513. The replacement springs fit 32-48 engines.

  Thanks, Tom.

I would have thought that the part number might have been 68-6513 for a '36.

Does the 78 prefix mean that FoMoCo came out with a new-and-improved valve spring for the 1937 models?
