  Have been reading about water based paint, finding good positive comments but these are from a suppliers point of view. Any club members experience using it ?

  I have seen it in action and you need very good ventilation air flow for the cure. We might as well get used to it because it will be mandated by law within the next 3-5 years.

  New cars have had water based paint for a few years and it seems to hold up very well. I am told that it requires all new painting techniques to get a goo paint job.

  This is supposedly the only automotive paint you can buy in California. It STARTS at $350 a gallon!!!

Not sure why, but my store can legally sell pre-thinned lacquer in basic colors for $24.99.

  And, after touring a Ford Assembly Plant, I believe that it also requires an electrical charge running through the piece being painted to get good adhestion.
