Thank you to everyone on this forum!

For the first time in years, my 1940 Fordor Deluxe had started and I was able to drive it around the block today!

With one exception, it has been sitting for a dozen years. The clutch was stuck, the brakes gone (leaks), the tank gummed up, the fuel line plugged, the fuel pump fouled, the heater core leaked, the hoses disintegrating, etc.

All five brake cylinders have been changed, new shoes installed, new tank, new gas line, new sending unit, new water pumps, new hoses, re-cored heater and finally it runs again.

The advice and enthusiasm on this forum are incredible.

Did you work on the Car yoourself?

Yes, I did it myself. Took quite a while with other stuff going on, but I am glad that I did it.

Now I have to clean the carb, replace the rear window seals (probably will have someone else to this as I have never tried it), change all the felts/seals in the side windows, put the upholstery and headliner in (may get someone professional to do the headliner this time), change the running board covers, and do some other stuff.
