Topic: 51 Ford Custom Rear Leaf Springs

I'm planning to replace the bushings on my leaf springs and I have a couple questions:
-Recommended safe procedure (I've read the procedure in the manual but I'm looking for "best practices/tips".)
-Rear spring anti squeak pads; are these only on the front; diagram only shows 4/ (part # 5582)
- Rear spring clamps for the springs (JobLot list these as "fold design" Part# C4DZ-5724-B. Will they work?
- Right side springs have spread; will I be able to realign once I have them off?
- Do you recommend placing the "anti-squeak cloth between the springs? If so, procedure......

Thanks

In removing the rear springs make sure your car is supported securely before starting any suspension work ( I use large wood blocks under the frame). Rebuild the springs as they were set up from the factory. The fold design clamps will work just fine. Use the anti squeak. If the right side has misaligned leafs you should be able to get them back in place once the soring is removed and rebuilt. The clamp will hold them in place.
