Driving my 1938 coupe today...blew the horn..it wouldn't stop blowing..had to unplug both horns..got home plugged one in ..still blowing..where do I start looking for problem...horn button action feels normal...thanks

Standard or DeLuxe? I know the DeLuxe has a horn relay on the right frame rail ahead of the engine. Rap it sharply, test, it might be stuck. If no success, disconnect the grounding terminal on the relay. If it stops then, the trigger wire is grounded somewhere. If it still blows, the relay is stuck or shorted. PS: if the relay is electrically actuated and stuck, it will run the battery down. This message was edited by 40cpe on 8-9-15 @ 7:52 PM

it is a deluxe and does have a relay..with 3 wires going to it..don't know what they are all connected to....ill try tapping the relay....THANKS

The blue wire with the yellow tracer goes to the horn terminal on the light bail at the bottom of the steering column. and provides a ground for the horn relay. The heavier gauge yellow wire with a green traces supplies the voltage to the relay and the horns. The other wire goes to the horns. You may have a problem with the horn rod grounding out and picking the horn relay. Start by unplugging the blue wire and checking if the horns are still blowing. Tom

MANY THANKS 40 COUPE..TAPPED RELAY..PLUGGED HORNS IN..WORKING OK..NEXT TIME I'LL KNOW WHAT TO DO...THANKS AGAIN
