Topic: Radiator cap difference

joe b    -- 08-05-2015 @ 6:58 AM
I recently purchased a new radiator cap for my '41. The catalog listed 2 different types. One is "Original Type" for $25.00 and the other is listed simply "4lb. pressure" for $8.00. Since my car is not Concourse,I figured the cheaper one would be fine. When I got it I noticed stamped right on top for all to see....MEXICO !!
I am in no way criticizing the dealer. It was my fault.
I just thought others would be interested/warned.

What did you think you would get for $8 a made in USA one. LOL ken ct. Their stuff is still better than China. Lots of modern parts are made in Mex. Check all the GM parts boxes "MADE IN MEXICO" for modern cars. !!!!

OH BELIEVE ME KEN I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE A GREAT PART FOR THAT PRICE. MY ONLY "COMPLAINT" IS MEXICO IN BIG LETTERS SHOWING UP IN MY USA FORD LOL. PUTTING IT ON THE BOX WOULD HAVE BEEN FINE. IN THEIR DEFENSE, THERE IS NO PLACE TO PUT MEXICO ON THE UNDERSIDE.
I AGREE THAT THE MADE IN MEXICO PRODUCTS ARE BETTER THAN THE CHINK STUFF.
