You may won't to reword this question so folks can understand what your asking. Not really sure what you mean by "steering wheel mount box". My best guess is you may be talking about the '37 steering box to frame mounting bracket that is being reproduced and sold by Bob Drake and also sold by other old car parts dealers??

Hal - I purchased a 78-5104 Steering Box Mount from Mac's for my '38 Ford Pickup. The original was not repairable. The replacement went on very well. Just had to ream a couple of holes for alignment. I used Grade 8 bolts instead of rivets. Bill

Hi Hal, If, indeed, the part you are trying to replace is the steering box to frame bracket, I have one out in the shed. As has been said, these only need the rivets ground off and they come off the frame. If you think it will help you out, I'll send it to you for the cost of postage. Give me a call at 910 864-8126. Ron.

Hal, I am wondering how the mount I sent you worked out. Did you get it all together yet? Just curious. 42oink
