need to how much you can drill heads to make them easy to remove from the studs or is this a thing to do.

Never a good idea, for two reasons: One, the gasket area is very limited, and you don't want to reduce it further. Two, the stud/head relationship is often your last chance of preventing coolant escape. Best just to use anti-seize on the exposed studs before installation of the heads. Don't forget sealant on the studs that protrude into the water jacket. Alan
